A Sad Day At the Cafe... a Tradition - met my friends - for lunch today - only to discover - after 16 years - it was closing! As fate would have it - we Met the lovely owner... We have just Loved Cafe La Tartine! ...Have been fans for years - love the staff, menu, food! We choose: Sit outside or inside,...wonderful. Outside...which is very spacious, well organized. Great Service and even better desserts and a very impressive lunch menu. On our FIRST VISIT We three planned a return visit even before we had our desserts. Great Salads, pretty umbrellas for shade... We LOVED YOU CAFE LA TARTINE!!

Great cafe. The atmosphere is perfect for working or socializing. There is a good amount of seating in and outside. The tri tip salad is my favorite dish. Tri tip is cooked well. The dressing is flavorful, but not overpowering. Dessert tends to be good. It worth trying at least one. The spice chai latte is well balanced and my favorite drink. On nice days, it's lovely to sit outside, get some yummy food, and enjoy the weather.

This is a very good place just around the downtown of San Mateo. It's in the historical part of the city which gives a very pretty vibe and there are bunch of really amazing restaurants and touristy spots around this place. The best thing you would like about this place is that it is Built and conserved as a historical Cafe. Well, don't only get confused by just a coffee or drinks. There deserve a full course of food like appetizers, snacks, salad sandwiches soups so it's definitely a great spot for food as well. The only thing I can talk about which is difficult to get parking so you probably have to park somewhere and walk down the street to get there but the service was amazing. Coffee was delicious although they had to redo my coffee because I ordered for Arun milk cappuccino and they just made with the whole milk Than that, everything was great. Would love to visit them again at some point..
